Fly Fish Key West Permit Capt. Bill Houze

key west permit guide Bill HouzeCapt. William Houze has been a professional fishing guide in the Florida Keys for the past 8 Yrs. Fly fishing took hold of Capt. William at an early age. Fishing for trout in the local streams of upstate New York, he developed the core essentials it takes to become a successful fly fisherman.  His attention to detail, patience as a guide, and seamanship behind the helm combine to make William one of the most sought after young guides in the Keys today.   Capt. William fishes over 250 days a year guiding his clients inshore for tarpon, permit and bones, and offshore for dolphin, tuna, wahoo, and marlin.  When not poling with a client, Capt. Houze is out wading his favorite Permit flat, fly rod at the ready. William is also an avid sports and adventure photographer as well as an accomplished videographer. "The Captain's"  career began as a mate fishing offshore for Blue Marlin and other pelagic species.  His time on the open ocean took him all over the Caribbean, Bahamas, Central and South America. These experiences laid the foundation for his career as a sports fishing professional.  The influence is obvious in the patience, knowledge and ultimate success Capt. William has on a daily basis with his anglers.  Whether you are the most novice bait fisherman or the most experienced of fly anglers, Capt. William has the commitment and hard work ethic to make your day on the water a sucess. Seeing a novice angler catch their first Permit, or Tarpon is something Capt. William takes immense pride in.
